Socially Distanced Rollup

Taunton Deane Bowling Club had their final social roll up on Wednesday last week before lockdown closed the Club.

Club Men’s Captains Adrian Davis and Mark Reeve arranged for two rinks of Triples. Indoor Sport Social Distancing measures have allowed for all six rinks to be played on at the same time, with a maximum of 36 players on the rinks at any one time. The Club has taken on quite a few new members who want to take up the sport for pleasure, exercise, competitive competition and social reasons. Others have moved from other clubs because the Leagues at the Deane offer more opportunity.

Social distancing measures allow for bowling without a mask as long as a 2m distance is adhered to. If masks are preferred then the distances between players can be 1m.

Adrian who is also a Director at the Club and runs the well stocked Club shop said that ensuring safety measures were in place and keeping going for Members who wanted to continue bowling during the pandemic was very important.

Club bowls Membership starts at just £35 for winter only Indoors. If anyone is interested in joining and would like to start the process during the latest Lockdown, in preparation for when the Club reopens then email TDBC@btconnect.com
