too strong for Tony Wiscombe and Kim Bristow, who conceded after 16
ends with the score at 24-13
LADIES CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
In the Ladies Singles Final, Lynn Williams held off the determined challenge of Joan McBride, to claim the title.
After 10 ends of swapping shot for shot, Lynn held a narrow single shot lead. She then moved steadily ahead, holding off the persistent efforts of Joan, whose fighting qualities ensured the match went to 24 ends.
Lynn finally drew shot to clinch the title by 21shots to 12.
MENS' CHAMPION of CHAMPIONS
Men's Champion of Champions event was closely contested and ran to
24 ends and nearly two hours but eventually Colin Day beat Rod Ellis
21-17.
