    Lynn Williams and partner Elaine Amery from Williton B.C.

Two good wins representing Somerset in the Regional Finals of Women’s Senior Pairs held at Ilminster B.C. today.
 
Round of last 32. Beat Newquay Trenance Cornwall. 19 - 6.
Round of last 16. Beat Broadstone Wessex Dorset.    17 - 14.

They now go the National Finals on 1st September to represent Somerset in the quarter finals.

                            WELL DONE!

BUSY TIME IN NATIONAL COMPETITIONS 

A number of Taunton Deane Bowlers have been involved in County and 
National Competitions.

In the National Champion of Champions competition, Lynn Williams lost a tight game to Elaine Amery of Williton.

She then partnered Elaine in a victory over an Ilminster pair in the Bowls England Senior Pairs.

In the Men’s fours R. Ellis, M. Reeve, C. Day and K. Cottrell lost to a talented rink from Willmot Park.

Both teams in the Mens Senior fours, A.Carmichael, T.Day, M.Reeve, C.Day, and R.Ellis, K. Cottrell, S.Hedger, T.Foxwell, failed to make progress, losing to teams from Williton and Victoria WSM.

Better news from the ladies triples, J.Hedger, J. Carmichael and S. Nalbandian who had a convincing win over a team from Victoria WSM.

In the Mixed Pairs, M. Reeve and L. Williams beat a pair from Ashcombe Park WSM.

The Mixed Four of J. Lean, L. Williams, M. Reeve and C. Day beat a strong quartet from Street B.C.

SOMERSET QUARTER FINAL.

Congratulations to Lynn Williams and Imogen Cracknell on winning 
their match v S. Crouch and C. Symonds of Bath 17 - 13.

Semi Finals at Portishead on 16th July.

Good results in National Competitions this week!

Thursday, in an all Taunton Deane clash, Lynn Williams, Imogen Cracknell beat Julie Carmichael, Stacey Nalbandian in the Ladies Pairs, by 18 shots to 13.

Friday, saw an impressive win for Mark Reeve, Rod Ellis, Kevin Cottrell and Colin Day, in the Mens Fours, over a strong Watchet Rink by 26 - 7.

Fri May 6th

Good win Friday evening in Bowls England National Mixed Fours Competition against a strong Ilminster rink.
Julia Lean, Lynn Williams, Mark Reeve, Bryan Southward with a 20-12 win.
