A Club for the Whole Community
Membership at Taunton Deane Bowling Club is open to everyone. We are proud to be an inclusive club and offer bowling opportunities for:
- New and experienced bowlers
- A growing junior section
- Visually impaired bowlers
- Bowlers with physical disabilities.
We also welcome touring teams and visiting clubs throughout the year.
Excellent Facilities
Our club offers first‑class facilities designed to support bowling, socialising, and community events:
- The only six‑rink indoor bowling centre in the local area
- Six‑rink outdoor green, laid to international standards
- Floodlit outdoor rinks for popular evening leagues
- Electronic scoreboards on all indoor rinks, with a master scoreboard
- Online rink booking system for easy reservations
Off the green, members and visitors can enjoy:
- A spacious bar and dining area with seating for up to 200 and views over the indoor rink
- A lively social programme, including quiz nights and entertainment
- A fully stocked club shop, open to members and non‑members
- Large male and female changing rooms
- Lockers available for members
- A large free private car park
New to Bowls? Start Here
If you’re new to bowling, you’ll receive a warm welcome and plenty of support. Prospective members are offered:
- A free one‑hour taster session with one of our qualified coaches
- Follow‑on four free two‑hour coaching sessions for those who wish to continue
- Use of bowls and shoes, provided free of charge during coaching sessions
Our coaching team will introduce you to the game and help you develop your skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Bowling All Year Round
With both indoor and outdoor facilities, bowling takes place throughout the year. Members can enjoy:
- Roll‑ups with friends
- Daytime and evening leagues
- Friendly fixtures with local clubs and touring teams
- Club, county, and national competitions
For those who enjoy competition, our winter programme includes a wide range of men’s, ladies’, mixed, open, junior, and age‑specific events.
